Typical Wedding Procedure Of Hindu Religion in Nepalese Context among Bramhin/Chhetri Community

 Again along with start of new year many lives tied a knot of wedding this season too. Major months for wedding are, Baisakh , Jestha, Ashad, Mangsir, Magh and Falgun of Nepalese calender which are first and last 3 month of the year. According to English Calender it falls on  April-May, May-June, June- July, Nov-Dec, Dec-Jan, Feb-March respectively. These 6 month are only seasons for wedding.

Few years back no marriage were done except these month excluding some festival  such as Bijaya Dashami, Ram Nawami, and Saraswati Puja which are believed to be auspecious and fortunate. But as time passed by, modernization hit the peoples way of living and many things changed, so did wedding pattern too :) . In today's context wedding are held on any season date or month. Here I would like to explain in brief about the wedding procedure and  functions which are followed traditionally since last so many years.

Bride Groom and Bride are said  Dulha and Dulhai respectively.

Expecting Beyond Expectations !!

Oops!! "Expectation". No one can escape from imagination. The world runs on expectation. A very complicated word so far for me which emerged along with my existence. Many lives were influenced by my entry in this wonderful world. Parents might had expected so many things relating to me. And I might had expected accordingly. Neither their none mine expectation met completely. And it continues. The only thing which differs is height and criteria of expectation. Some of them might go beyond imagination and other ends up desperately. This is a magical words. Expectation is never one way phenomena. Though expecting from own is different issue. It relates to at least two people, and is directly related to each of them. Here one party is liable to meet another's expectation  at one time whether or if he/she knows what actually other are  expecting from them. And side by side, there's another twist, Most often only the one who expects is affected by the outcome. Expectation ends up with two concrete result either you are delighted or disappointed. In between, you go through some limit of prediction ,satisfaction, hope, fear and failure. It often demoralizes human being. Sometimes I felt , expecting was begging your happiness from others.

It's all about Today's Love !!

People are pretty much inspired with some  very popular statements  relating to love such as, "Everything is fair in love and war", " Love is Blind", "Love Never Dies", "Its all about Love" and much more. Either people know the exact meaning of the statement or not. Either they know what exactly love means or not, they keep on competing to prove themselves to  be the most true lovers. And most of them are actually inspired by movies, videos, novels, fairy tales and the world of fantasy. Every one here are copycat of each other.
